The EAO has up to 180 days from the date of the application to complete the review, prepare its report and refer the application to the ministers for a decision on issuance of an environmental assessment certificate.

The Environmental Assessment Office “stopped the clock” on this 180-day period so that more time could be allowed to provide additional information required.  Garibaldi at Squamish continues to work with the Environmental Assessment Office and the Ministry of Tourism, Sports and the Arts and looks forward to the review process resuming shortly.
