What will the impact of climate change be on the resort?

The majority of high quality ski terrain is above the 1,125-metre elevation, where snowfall is abundant and snow quality is good.

The base of skiing at Garibaldi at Squamish is at 875 metres, more than 200 metres above the base at Whistler

The main village site is at 1,100 metres (approximately 3,600 feet) which is 427 metres (1,400 feet) higher than Whistler Village. Like Whistler and Blackcomb, snow-making will be required at lower elevations at times.
