Foggy conditions are not uncommon in all resorts in western BC and the US Pacific Northwest. 

Other resorts that experience fog use a variety of mitigation strategies, including high-visibility signage, more frequent trail markers and fencing. 

The lift layout at Garibaldi provides for skiing at different elevation zones so that skiers can avoid fog if it occurs.
