Locally designed site features outstanding photography by Squamish residents

Garibaldi at Squamish is inviting residents to learn more about its proposal for a world-class, all-season resort on its new website, www.garibaldiatsquamish.com [1].

In addition to providing an overview of the resort proposal, the website provides recent studies, an in-depth question and answer section and links to the 13 volumes of detailed reports that support the Garibaldi at Squamish environmental assessment application.

“This is our next step in reaching out to inform the community about the benefits of the project and how we are addressing the concerns and issues that have been raised through the EA process,” said Garibaldi at Squamish President and CEO Mike Esler.

“There is a huge amount of information about the project and this brings it together in one place for people to access more easily,” Esler said.

“There has been a considerable amount of planning and preparation to date and we continue to refine various elements in collaboration with the community, stakeholders, the EA office and provincial officials. It is a comprehensive package of information,” Esler said.

The website features the work of local photographers Chris Christie and Doug Burne, who have captured the breathtaking scenery of the proposed resort from a number of vantage points.

“When you see the incredible shots of skiers in deep snow on Brohm Ridge, there will be no doubt in your mind about what a world-class resort experience this will be,” Esler said.

The site was developed by Squamish-based website development and marketing company VentureWeb, whose roster of clients include the Squamish Sustainability Corporation (www.businesssquamish.com [2]) and Tourism Squamish (www.tourismsquamish.com [3]).
